MYSC stands for Markham Youth Spotlight Council. We are a youth-led movement dedicated to empowering young people in Markham through creativity, leadership, and community impact. Every year, we host Markham Got Talent, a vibrant competition that brings together contestants, judges, and the local community to celebrate the incredible talent within our city. But MYSC is more than just a talent show. It is a platform where youth are given real opportunities. We provide a stage for performers to showcase their skills, compete for prizes, and gain the recognition they deserve.

At the same time, we create meaningful opportunities for the youth behind the scenes. The organizers, planners, and creatives build the event from the ground up. Through these experiences, our members grow leadership skills and gain hands-on expertise that prepares them to become strong, capable leaders. When young people stay hidden in the shadows with no chance to take that first leap, their passion can fade. MYSC shines a spotlight on that passion by giving youth a place where their dreams can come alive and their light can shine bright. This is just the beginning.
